Your conference leader for “Data Breaches: Guidance for Understanding & Mitigating Fast Growing Cyber Security Risks” is Josh Viau, of counsel, in the Fisher Phillips LLP Atlanta, Georgia office. Josh’s practice focuses on representing companies in a variety of area in labor and employment matters including traditional labor relations matters and employment-related litigation. Josh advises and represents management in traditional labor matters including arbitrations, unfair labor practice cases, union elections, contract negotiations, strikes, and alternative dispute resolution. He also defends employers in litigation in the areas of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, compliance with leave and wage and hour laws and regulations, and employment-related contract disputes.
Josh’s experience includes guiding employers through reductions in force and individual employee separations to ensure that such actions are executed in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and in a manner that minimizes risk. Josh also provides clients with services aimed at compliance and litigation avoidance, including general human resources advice, creation and application of workplace policies and practices, training programs for management and employees, and workplace audits.
Josh works with a variety of national and local clients including employers in manufacturing, construction, hospitality, pharmaceuticals, and retail. He is the former chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Georgia State Bar and is active in several business groups.
